BON JOVI

Sex Sells

Bon Jovi

Sex Sells was recorded and planned for release in 1999, but was later scrapped.

The album began as Jon's solo album, but many songs were later re-recorded with the band.

Jon and band recorded over 30 tracks to the album, before the 'Sex Sells' title track was deemed to be too weak and the working title of the album was changed to 'One Wild Night' (a name which would later be used for the live compilation album).

Three of the tracks made it onto Crush, and several others turned up later in the 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong Box set, and on various b-sides. No official reason was ever given for the suspension of the album.

As no album art was ever produced, the image shown here is from a poster seen in the 'Real Life' video. Other possible album arts have circulated, including a diamond containing 2 S's, and a modified highway 'Slippery when wet' sign.

Have A Nice Day Out-takes

Bon Jovi

Have A Nice Day and Bells of freedom were first recorded with significantly different lyrics to the released versions.

There is also a demo version of Complicated, a version of Who Says 'You Can't Go Home' with Keith Urban, and a track titled 'Nothing', supposedly excluded due to it's similarity to 'I am'.
